Ever wondered if the pandemic really stopped the world even for a second, well if u did let me clear it for you all. The world has never stopped and will never stop whatever the hell situation is. That's what makes us human, continuos working for the change to better. Simple because time and tide wait for none. So enough of this philosophical talk, in this article, we're gonna talk about the sales which unexpectedly have been growing during the pandemic of the different automobile manufacturers in India.

TATA

Beginning with a company which isn't just a company but a sensation among the people, they have been and always will work for the welfare of people, and a company with such a holy motive should keep growing. Yes, you're right its the one and only Tata. They posted about 15012 unit sales for July and around 10485 for July 2019 which got them precisely 43% better sales. Tata stood at third-highest sales increase for July 2020 standing firmly behind the Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai.
It has increased its market share from 5.3% to 7.6% which is a decent increase. It entered 2020 with several launches like the Tiago, Tigor, and Nexon. The new Altroz entered the market with the huge expectation to stand to.these all led tata to garner 31% month on month growth. Tata also seems to be effectively working on the electric vehicle section having launched an electrified Nexon. the trick to offer new refreshed models is also working for pretty good for the company as it stood third in the sales chart with a good enough lead of 4000 more sales than the fourth Mahindra and Mahindra.

It surpassed some major companies like Kia Toyota Ford, honda etc.Above everything the automobile industry seems to be growing at a pretty good rate, and with the festive season upcoming it seems to grow even more at an unprecedented rate than never. It is also worth noting that Tata hasn't even played all its cards and there's more up its sleeves with the Harrier dubbed Gravitas upcoming shortly in November this year, which as expected is another delayed product thanks to the pandemic.

UPDATE: Tata seems to be growing at an unstoppable speed having recorded their best sales in the past 16 months and that too at this situation where the cycle of life has come to an initial halt and moving at quite a speed we never desire. tata recorded 11419 units sold in June and for July 15012. It can be noted that Tata had quite an impressive success with the Tiago, Nexon, harrier, and Altroz which were expected to bring the victory over to them.

MAHINDRA

So coming to our next contender, it's Mahindra and Mahindra. This company holds about 8% of the automobile market share. While the pandemic did delay everything, Mahindra was no exception, their BS6 variants were delayed and though they've partnered with ford and working in the compact SUV section and upgrades of XUV500 are soon to be announced, an electric variant of their XUV300 is soon going to be launched early next year. It seems that the Scorpio and XUV300 have been spotted earlier by spies, there are high chances of the much-hyped off-roader "The Thar" could get its successor. Just like the world is focussing on electric vehicles, Mahindra isn't much far, they're working on the electric vehicles as well and upgrades on vehicles upcoming are expected to be drastic form both outside look and the inside comfort.

MARUTI SUZUKI INDIA LIMITED
Talking about the Maruti Suzuki India Limited the favorites of India, they've posted about a loss of Rs 249 crores during the first quarter of the financial year. the previous year at this same time, they had a whopping profit of Rs 1435.5 crores which shows quite a drastic loss for the company but looking at the bright side, the situation is expected to improve in the coming days. Coming to the net sales, the figures don't seem to look any good having sold worth Rs 3677.5 crores this time as compared to the 18735.2 of the previous year.
It wouldn't be wrong to say that MSIL was one of the most hard-hit companies by the pandemic. After the nationwide lockdown ended this seemed pretty good for a while as compared to the previous months and the reported growth of 1.3%Maruti sold around 1,08,064 units in July 2020 which was a growth of 88% from June 2020 and. yet they recorded as meager 1.1% decline from 2019.

Well, one thing is sure, where social distancing is given priority people are considering to stay away from public transport and hence they're all getting themselves their own vehicle. Well, whatever the speculations are it always seems to be growing, with electric vehicles coming into the market it sure would take up the automobile sector of India by a storm, millennials definitely being the target audience. With the world getting serious about fossil fuels the day isn't far when petroleum would be costly and gradually out of general use at such a large scale.
