Launched in May 2020, both Xtreme 200S and Xpulse 200T will get updated to comply with the new government norms and this modification will cost an extra Rs. 6000, summing up the price of these bikes to be between Rs. 1.04 and Rs. 1.08 lakh(ex-showroom).
Drawback
Earlier version used to produce 18.4 bhp @ 8000 rpm against 17.1 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm because of the BS4 compliant,199.6 cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. But the new BS6 compliant version will produce 17.8 bhp @ 8000rpm against 16.45 Nm @ 6,500 rpm which is 0.3 bhp and 0.65 Nm less. This will slightly affect the performance but it really doesn't matter.
Also, there will be an oil-cooling system in this version instead of the water-cooling system previously available in the BS4 engine.
Things will be the same for the new Xpulse 200T. Adding to this there will an updated exhaust system which is attached with an additional catalytic convertor. There few more changes made so as to comply with the BS6 norms.
