The South Korean automaker announced this Monday there plan to launch three electric vehicles including a sedan under the sub-brand name IONIQ. All the companies have quite taken up the challenge to go green with focussing more now towards the electric vehicles which though being present earlier wasn't being much steered or paid heed upon.

With tesla coming up with breaking edge technology its quite essential for the companies to now deliver on the electric vehicles for it is certainly the future. It is being said that there will be three vehicles for sure under the IONIQ brand i.e IONIQ 5,6 and 7.

All these will be based upon Hyundai's concept 45. Thus giving justice to the names for the models. Hyundai will launch Ioniq 5 in the upcoming year. Ioniq 6 will be an electric sedan and will be launched around 2022 and Ioniq 7 will most likely be launched in 2024. It should be noted that all vehicles will be well equipped with fast charging capability. These all-electric vehicles will be managed by Hyundai's electric global modular platform or E-GMP. Hyundai will introduce hybrid, plugin hybrid, and all-electric powertrains in these vehicles.

There are much-anticipated speculations that Hyundai's E-GMP will make vehicle modifications easier and as per customers' requests with their technology and also introduce much-awaited unique features. The automaker hasn't released any specs for the vehicles currently but is expected to do so with the release of Ioniq 5 coming soon next year. The lone goal of the company seems pretty modest of having sold at least 1 million of their EVs by 2025, holding at least 10% of the market share and becoming the third-largest automobile manufacturer by that time.
