Citroen is a French automobile manufacturer founded in 1919 by french industrialist Andre-Gustave Citroen and part of the PSA Peugeot Citroen group since 1976. Though it is quite established in the automobile sector it is yet to launch its first product for the Indian market. The famous Citroen C5 Aircross which has been a compact SUV released in around 2017 in china and many other parts were supposed to be the debut of Citroen Automobiles in India. But just like the world, it got affected by the pandemic and the launch was postponed from 2020 to early 2021.

Earlier this year we saw the first Citroen showroom come up in Ahmedabad. Currently, the vehicle is being imported as CKD kits and being assembled at the Tiruvallur plant at Tamil Nadu with a partnership with the CK Birla group. The vehicle comes in both petrol and diesel variants. The vehicle is equipped with all virtual 12.3-inch driver instrument, 8-inch separate infotainment system, automatic dual vent AC and also on steering wheel buttons, also featuring android autoplay and apple car play.
On the safety side, it features multiple airbags, ESP, and traction control. The expected price is around a modest 20 to 25 lacs, considering the brand value, and especially the product is the very first of its kind from the manufacturer the cost is quite modest.

This vehicle is quite an impressive one with an astonishing track record overseas and its expected to take the market against competitors like Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson, and Honda CR-V. There are also hints of an electric hybrid of this vehicle soon to be launched by the company. Well, one can surely expect a delightful surprise from the manufacturer as its making its entry in the Indian market with this. And as the legend says the first impression lasts the most so its quite important the product to outperform its competitors.
