Energy Efficiency Services Limited(EESL) has acquired these EVs under a dry lease system and will maintain them as well. Following this there will be a decent increase in number of charging stations with each squad getting its own charging center. Further these EVs will be equipped with enforcement-specific gadgets like radar speed sensors, cameras and more which will help in patrolling.
As per reports this deal will be valid for 8 years and MVD will pay the whole amount by itself.
