Fans are becoming sad day by day as the launch of many upcoming vehicles have been either put on hold or postponed due to the ongoing pandemic. No new cars have been unveiled in the market ever since this pandemic caught the pace. And joining this list is next-gen Honda HR-V.
Honda was supposed to launch HR-V in early 2021 but this pandemic forced them to push the release date to May 2021.

Competitors

Honda is willing to compete in the mid-size SUV segment with this model. When released it will face stiff rivalry from Toyota Corolla Cross which will be released this year, Jeep Compass and the Jeep Renegade. The SUV is claimed to be in advanced stage of development. There will be important changes in the design and mechanics of the car.

Design

It is rumored to be based on the new Honda Global Platform. As per some media reports, this SUV will be bigger in size and will feature Coupe SUV like design. It might measure around 4.4 meters in length, while the current model measures 4.33 meters.

Engine

The engine department will be headed with the 1.5-litre petrol engine with two electric motors, just like the new generation Fit. The initial movement up to 80 kmph is made by the first electric motor that is called the propulsion engine. For greater power demand, the petrol engine starts to work to transmit the rotation to the second electric motor, which is called the generation engine.
The next-gen Honda HR-V is Honda's most important product globally, so let's see how it impacts the market.
