Most awaited Cars to be launched in upcoming months

Past few months have been no less than a nightmare for the automobile sector due to COVID 19 as well as the economic crises that followed. But after unlock 1.0 the market has started to recover. And fortunately, in these few  months there is going to be many new car launches providing another boost to its pace. Given below are the cars which gather most attention in all of them. So let's have a look on these surprises that this month have for all the car enthusiasts and buyers.

MG Hector plus

After the launch of Hector last year this new three-row version of it is all set for the market. It will be available in two options of six and seven-seat with three and one variant respectively. The Car would run on a 170 PS 2.0 litre diesel and on a 143 PS 1.5 litre petrol engine. This car will have expected price is 14 lakh and would rival Mahindra XUV 500 and upcoming TATA Gravitas.




Audi RS7 Sportback

Launched in 2019 Frankfurt motor show, Audi RS7 Sportback is available for advance booking and would be delivered by July or August this year. The car is equipped with 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine with a 48 V mild- hybrid system. It has an impressive 8 - speed automatic gearbox and produces 600 hp and 800 Nm of torque. Its price would be around Rs 1.49 crore and would rival against luxury cars like  BMW M5, Mercedes Benz G Class, Audi  A8 L and Porsche Panamera.

Honda WR-V facelift

Honda has launched the facelifted Honda WR V with the starting price of Rs 8.50 lakh. Its engine has the existing BS6 version with 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine having the same power and torque as before. The car has 5- speed MT transmission for Petrol engine while 6-speed MT transmission for the diesel version. This time also the company had not offered automatic transmission. It claims to have an efficiency of 16.5 kmpl and 23.7 kmpl for petrol and diesel version respectively.

Mercedes- Benz EQC

Being the first all-electric model from Mercedes, the Mercedes Benz EQC has paved the way for the company in the domain of electric cars. Along with the same classy silhouette of a conventional car, the new exterior and interior design gives a futuristic look to the car. The Car has a range of 450 kms . It has a peak power of 402 bhp and peak torque of 475 Nm . Its expected price range is around Rs 60 lakhs .


Honda City 2020

Honda India has confirmed the launch of its fifth-generation sedan  Honda City 2020 on 15 July. Originally the launch date was earlier this year but was postponed due to COVID 19 . The car is powered by two BS6 engine which are 1.5 diesel engine and 1.5 petrol engine. The power generated by the petrol engine is 121 PS and 145 Nm while that of diesel engine is 100 PS and 200 Nm . The car has a six-speed manual transmission however there is an option for automatic transmission in petrol city with a CVT . The price range of the car is from Rs 10.70 lakh to Rs 14.75 lakh .

Maruti S Cross 2020

Due to lockdown launch of petrol version of Maruti S Cross which was scheduled earlier this year has been previously delayed till June. As for now, it is that the car would launch in July or August making the customer wait for another month. Out of the four variants Sigma, Delta, Alpha and Zeta of the diesel version, the latter three will be their petrol version while Sigma will be cut back. The price of the car is expected to be around Rs 9.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and it will lock horns with Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks and Renault Captur. 

Force Gurkha

Force motors is expected to launch the new avatar of its off-roader  Gurkha anytime after mid July . The car was unveiled this year on auto expo 2020 held in February. On an outer look the changes are subtle including New bumpers, a revised grille, and headlamps with halo LED DRLs . But a closer glance at its interior aspects is enough to please the customers . This includes power windows , a touchscreen infotainment system along with many others. It is not hard to see that the company has tried to change the image of the car from just an off- roader to a viable second car . The Car has BS6 complaint 2.6 litre engine with 90 hp power and has a 5- speed manual gearbox . The expected price of the car is around Rs 10 lakh and it will rival cars like Mahindra Thar , MG Hector and TATA Gravitas .

TATA Gravitas

The home-grown Tata motors had introduced seven seater version of Harrier called Gravitas in auto expo this year . This car is going to be launched in Aug-Sept of 2020 . Most of the features of the car is more or less same as that of Harrier . The SUV have a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre engine that develops 170PS and 350Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a new 6-speed automatic gearbox . The car boasts of the mileage of 15 kmpl for the petrol version while 17 kmpl for the diesel version . The starting price of the car is around Rs 15 lakh which would stretch upto Rs 22-23 lakh . Its main competitor would be Mahindra XUV 500 which has already established its place in the market and will have its updated version launched in 2021 .
