Renault is banking on the new model Kiger that marks this carmaker’s entry in the compact SUV segment where it shall be competing against Mahindra Bolero, Renault Triber, Datsun GO+, Nissan Kicks, Volkswagen T-Roc, Tata Nexon, and Mahindra Marazzo. Initially, the SUV was to follow its sibling, the Nissan Magnite. But, Nissan has officially pushed the Magnite's launch to January 2021, thus emptying the path for the Kiger to be the first compact SUV arrival from both the alliance partners.
